Now that I’ve created the website, step two must be to post something.  I’m still new at this and my promise to the reader, that’s you, is that I’ll get better.

I became a father for the first time in February of this year.  I’m typing my first blog post while my son is 25 weeks old,  just a few days before he turns 6 months old.  Yes, I’m referring to that like all other parents, who count in weeks and months even though I never thought I would.  You might be wondering, how do you have any spare time with a 6 month old baby?  Why start blogging now?  The answer is, you’re absolutely right, I don’t have time.  On the other hand, I feel like the things I’ve experienced the last six months that I simply have to share.  I want this to be a place to get my stories recorded, if anything, for my son to be able to see when he is older.   And trust me, there are a lot of stories!  Who knew that this little miracle would be so life changing?  I can’t wait to share stories about Oma, The Bug, or my first Father’s day.  Funny stories about what we refer to as the Trifecta, or heart-melting stories like when Mac met his great grandpa.

My goal is to have some updates in the near future, but for now, it’s back to work.  I’m looking forward to our next conversation, even if it is just us.
